Inspections

Periodic inspections are crucial for maintaining a well-run home or business heating system. Scheduling routine inspections allows for maximum efficiency and ensures that you're not wasting unnecessary energy dollars. Furthermore, according to the NYC Department of Buildings Local Law 62 of 1991, if you are the owner of a commercial and/or mixed-use (commercial & residential) building, or of a private home (six-family or greater) within New York City's five boroughs, your low pressure boiler must be inspected annually. The inspection must be filed no later than November 15th of each calendar year, and any and all repairs must be completed by the end of the calendar year. The building owner must ensure that this inspection is performed, or face fines of up to $1,500, and the inspection is required regardless of whether you use gas or oil heat.
